David Verbitsky brings 15+ years of investment banking and entrepreneurial experience, with a specific focus on the Agriculture & Food sector.
David was previously Global Head of Agriculture & Nutrition
investment banking at Goldman Sachs. Other investment banking roles included Global Head of AgTech & Sustainable Food investment banking at
Nomura Greentech, and a member of the global Chemicals & Agriculture
investment banking team at Barclays.
David has worked with numerous companies across the Agriculture & Food value chain throughout his investment banking career, advising across $200B+ of M&A transactions, as well as numerous capital raising financings.
Clients have included early-stage emerging-technology companies, to
family / founder-owned businesses, to private equity companies, and
publicly-listed large-cap multinationals.
Agriculture & Food is the world's oldest industry, requiring a long-term perspective in financial advisory. David has an extensive network of investors and companies in the sector, built upon established and trusted relationships. Industry expertise is fundamental in advising clients and delivering outsized value in this sector, especially for innovation-driven companies and disruptive business models.
David has also held roles as a partner at Expara Ventures, a venture capital fund focused on Agri-Food Tech; a Strategic Advisor to Thought For Food, an accelerator and incubator for Agri-Food Tech start-ups; and CFO of Invaio, an AgTech start-up focused on biological crop protection solutions.
David earned an MBA from Rice University and a
B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University.
